I got this in the clearance section let’s see what’s inside!!

LED lightbulb with wifi

I didn’t take a pic of the back when it was together but it’s a solid hard plastic housing. I ended up using a hacksaw to cut the end off, then cutting the posts with some heavy duty clippers

Clipped posts and the internal board

It’s attached by some through hole pins to the LEDs in the front. The board has a WB3L WiFi module with a BK7321T chip. It’s a very densely packed board, pretty much all power delivery circuitry for both the LEDs and the module. Pretty neat!

Pulling the board out of the housing

The front side of the board

The backside of the board

After much deliberation (drilling a hole in front and then popping the front diffuser off) I got the LED board out! It’s just a piece of metal with a lot of LEDs on it. Only 6 RGB LEDs in the center

Close up of the chips used to control the LEDs. The BP5926 I think is for the RGB leds and the BP2306 is for controlling the brightness of the regular leds.

Bonus: The other pic is a close up of the BK7231T that’s used in the WB3L module with the shielding removed
